Who is George Delbard?

George Delbard is a rose hybridizer in France who has created some of the world’s most elegant, rare, and fragrant roses. He established his own rose breeding company, Delbard Nurseries, in 1935 in Allier, France. He developed many new rose varieties, including the Impressionist Rose Collection, which features striped roses. He passed away in 1999, but his company, now known as Delbard-Roses, continues to breed and cultivate new rose varieties.

Certified Roses feature a highly sought after exclusive variety of roses we call the Painters® Collection. Each rose is named after famous painters because they look like the work of an artist.

If you’re looking for beautiful, fragrant roses that are sure to add a splash of color to your garden, the striped roses for sale at Certified Rose are absolutely exquisite.

The collection is part of the Delbard Roses line and is popular among gardeners who want a unique and eye-catching rose in their garden.

Are Delbard Roses difficult to grow?

No, Delbard Roses are not difficult to grow. In fact, they are known for their disease resistance and low maintenance requirements. They prefer well-draining soil and full sun but can tolerate some shade. Regular pruning and fertilizing will help keep your Delbard Roses healthy and blooming all season long.

Why are Striped Roses part of Impressionist Collections?

Striped roses are often associated with the impressionist rose collection because of their unique color patterns reminiscent of the impressionist painting style. Just like impressionist painters used short brushstrokes of contrasting colors to create an overall impression of an object, striped roses also have contrasting colors that blend to create a beautiful overall impression.
